What is The Arlington Spectator?
We are a small group of citizen-journalists who want to see our hometown of Arlington, Virginia become a better place. We want to shed a light on local and state politics and see if it disinfects anything.
Why are you anonymous?
There is an omerta surrounding Arlington politics - people are often afraid of criticizing the political status quo for fear of being kicked out of the club. This is partly because of one-party rule in Arlington, which lends itself to avoiding conflict. There are a lot of people in Arlington politics that dislike each other but would never admit it publicly.
By remaining anonymous, people can give us information without worrying that they will be blacklisted for conspiring with the enemy.
